Boxie is well known for being at the forefront of the cat litter market. I love the company because they put the needs of the cat first. I was already a Boxie user when I heard about Glo.

Why an Attractant Cat Litter?
Glo, an attractant cat litter is great for those cats that need just a little more encouragement on using the litter box. Maybe that’s because they used to be an outdoor cat. Or maybe it’s because you’re dealing with some House Soiling issues.
In my feline-only veterinary practice I see hundreds of cats with House Soiling issues, many of which can be addressed by a few simple changes and upgrades. Litter boxes can be stressful for cats, but they don’t have to be!
Now, remember that no cat litter can replace excellent litter box care. That is YOUR responsibility, i.e. scooping the box a minimum of once a day and doing and full empty/clean as needed based on your household. Need some tips? Here are my litter box guidelines.
How Does Boxie Glo Cat Litter Work? Sight, Smell and Touch!
#1 Sight – It contains the Glo Light Attractant UV sparkles that only cats can see.
That’s right! Glo contains special sparkle crystals that fluoresce only in UV light. You cannot see these crystals without the use of a black light. But a cat CAN see them! Cats see differently than we do and we believe that cats can see part of the UV spectrum.
Did you know that cat urine contains protein that fluoresce under UV light? Using a black light is one way that you can locate areas where your cat may have been urinating when you can’t see it.
So a cat will eliminate where they see sensory clues, so these added UV sparkles will trigger their natural instinct to use the litter (in that very clean litter box that you’ve recently cleaned).
What Else Does Boxie Glo Contain? A Smell Attractant!
#2 Smell – It contains the Glo Olfactory Attractant – a HINT of a scent that mimics the outdoors. This is not a “scented” litter. We’re trying to get cats to feel like they are outdoors, which is where most cats naturally would want to eliminate.
Last But Not Least: Glo Paw Feel Granules!
#3 Touch – The Glo Paw Feel granules mimic the feel of a cat’s natural, outdoor environment. Remember, cats originally came from the desert so that super soft feel of sand or dirt is what feels normal to them. It’s what they like.
More Fun Facts About Boxie Glo Cat Litter
Glo comes in three forms: clumping clay, clumping corn and a crystal based litter.
When I tried it I actually put a layer of of the Glo clumping clay over my normal Boxie Pro clay to see what would happen and yes, they used it right away. Yay!
